FAQ

How should I store my soap?

To enjoy the longest possible life of the soap, best practice is to store it in a dry area, on a slotted soap dish. Allow soaps to dry completely between uses. Soaps should not be stored in direct sunlight. For extended storage please keep soaps in a cool dark place.

Do you make soap without using lye?

No, we do not make 'lye free' soap, this is because of the simple fact that in order to make soap you have to combine lye with fatty oils. Once these are combined they go through a chemical reaction/change called Saponification in order to become soap. Once this reaction/change is complete the lye is no longer lye and the fatty oils are no longer oils - instead you have soap as your finished product!

Think of it like baking a cake you combine different ingredients like flour, eggs, butter, and water - but after mixing and baking you don't have a pan still full of just flour, eggs, butter, and water -instead you have cake!

Premade soap bases called Melt n Pour soap (sometimes called glycerin soap) are the only way to "make" soap without handling lye. This is because this has already been done for you and the base has already gone though the saponification process. You just have to melt it down add your color and frangrance and pour into your mold. We do use melt n pour for making many of our soap embeds and decorations as well as our Moonlight Soap line .

What if I don't like a scent?

Everyone's nose interprets scents differently, because of this we do not accept returns or exchanges based on scents. We do provide scent desriptions for each product and these descriptions come from the frangrance oil's manufacturer.
